But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail

With some regularity I post links to news reports that show real world progress being made toward the state of the world that I write about as perceived from other kinds of sources. What I propose isn't springing forth as an imaginative collection of fanciful musings, and I'm not following in the wake of others in the sense of following only in the footsteps where others tread. Like the work of some others in the Lord's vast harvest field, the work represented on this blog is a witness to the Lord's continued provision as the day long prophesied about breaks upon us. He has a plan and it is working. As we watch faithfully, alert and sober, we see the adversary's domain rising up to engulf the world. In the midst of this, we know the Lord has His people ready to meet every challenge as they abide in Him. The Lord prayed for Simon's faith when he would be sifted, that it may not fail. It did not. The "Simon people" who hear have a steady conviction that it will not fail.

Here is an excerpt from The Only Hope In The Coming Storm by David Wilkerson (Gone on ahead).

God promised the prophet Zechariah that in the last days he would be a protective wall of fire around his people: “For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about” (Zechariah 2:5).

Isaiah also testifies to this: “For thou hast been a…shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall” (Isaiah 25:4). “There shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain” (4:6).

These promises are meant to comfort us as “prior warnings.” You see, all the prophets warn of a great storm coming in the final days. And this storm will beat against God’s wall of protection with ferocity.
